Colleen Fukui-Sketchley is the Corporate Diversity Affairs Specialist for Nordstrom, Inc. In her position, she focuses on executing corporate initiatives through community outreach and contributions to national non-profit organizations. These initiatives assist with the company's efforts to recruit, hire, retain and improve customer service across all business units. Colleen has been with Nordstrom since she graduated with a degree in Speech Communications from the University of Washington in 1994. Colleen currently serves on the boards of the Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP) for the University of Washington's Office of Minority Affairs, the University of Washington Alumni Association, the Asian Pacific American Women's Leadership Institute (APAWLI) and the Washington State Business Leadership Network.

Jean Sun Shaw, is founder and managing principal of life's journey, LLC a unique personal and professional development company, providing coaching and counseling to mid-career, mid-life professionals who seek meaningful changes in their lives. Jean brings much experience to consulting having worked in multiple industries, including legal, commodities trading, management consulting, and information systems. She has lived in Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines and lives with her husband, Lawrence in New York City. She is active in her community and supports non-profit organizations such as the New York Asian Women's Center, American Ballet Theatre, Career Transition for Dancers, Cancer Care. Jean was a 2002 Fellow of the Asian Pacific American Women's Leadership Institute. She studied Economics at Moravian College, and earned Masters degrees in International Relations from the University of Denver; and in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University. In her spare time, Jean raises orchids, enjoys the ballet and opera, and delights in sharing a good meal with old friends.

Christine M. Sakumoto Drake is a career management counselor and executive coach with a background bridging academia, technology sales and independent consulting. She has more than fifteen years of experience working in corporate environments and has taught at New York University, Lafayette College and Lehigh University. She advises clients in the areas of career initiatives and transitions, individual and organizational development, leadership, cultural competency and multicultural communication. Christine is Sansei, third generation Japanese-American, born and raised in Hawaii. She received a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology in the Behavioral Science Graduate Program at Rice University. She works in Manhattan and New Jersey and lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, David, and three Maine Coon cats.

Linda Kimie Yamauchi is manager of Information, Planning & Support at Southern California Edison. The 18+ years of supervising a diverse workforce has given her good insights into diversity in the workplace. Linda serves on the Community Advisory Board of the Alhambra Hospital Medical Center, was past president of the Mary Magdalene Project for women victims of street prostitution, regional president of the Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals in Business, and on the board of the National Low Income Energy Consortium. She was appointed by the Mayor to the Alhambra Housing and Community Development Commission. Linda is a 2000 APAWLI Fellow.

Cecy Kuruvilla is Senior Director - Diversity for Sodexho's Education Market in the U.S., responsible for creating and implementing the education market's diversity and inclusion strategies, and ensuring that they are aligned with Sodexho's corporate diversity strategy. Her previous experience includes directing diversity and organizational change efforts at Freddie Mac, Johns Hopkins University, AT&T and Kuruvilla Associates, where she was President. Cecy holds an MS in Human Resources/ Organization Development from American University, Washington, D.C. and an MA in Psychology from the University of Mysore, India. She is a founding member of the Diversity Leadership Forum (DLF), a national organization of multidisciplinary practitioners devoted to the development of the field of diversity and multiculturalism, member of the Diversity Advisory Board of TJX Corp. and member of the Community Advisory Board of the Sarasota School District, Florida.

Cheryl L. Ka`uhane Lupenui is President and CEO for the YWCA of O`ahu in Hawaii. At age 35, she became the youngest CEO and the first of Native Hawaiian descent to be appointed. Her passion for business in a cultural context earlier led her to open a retail food establishment using locally grown, traditional Hawaiian produce, and to provide management consulting for Hawaiian businesses. She was named the 2002 Women in Business Advocate for the State of Hawaii by SBA and received Pacific Business News' 2002 Forty Under 40 award. Cheryl is a 2002 APAWLI Fellow.

Leslie D. Moe-Kaiser is the Corporate Relations Manager at State Farm for Asian Pacific American communities. With over 20 years of experience in business consulting and counseling Asian American undergraduates, Leslie is today an energetic spokesperson for the APA communities. She serves on the boards of the Organization of Chinese Americans' Business Advisory Council, Asian American Justice Center, Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, and Hmong National Development. Leslie is a 2003 APAWLI Fellow.

Peggy Nagae founded her consulting firm in 1988 and provides extensive expertise in change, communication, cultural competence, team building, strategic planning, executive coaching, and potentiating the human spirit at work. Her work is collaborative, values-based and spirit-driven. Peggy is a third generation Japanese American who received her A.B., cum laude, from Vassar College in East Asian Studies, a J.D. with honors from Northwestern School of Law and a M.A in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. Peggy serves on the Board of the National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium and as co-chair of the Leadership Advisory Council for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. She considers her work on the National Japanese American Citizens Redress Committee, as well as representing Minoru Yasu in reopening his WWII case, and being appointed by President Clinton to the Civil Liberties Public Education Fund, as some of her greatest community achievements. Peggy lives in Oregon with her husband Charlie and in her spare time she is an author.

Debra Nakatomi has over twenty years of experience in communications and philanthropy, and has created dozens of social marketing and public education campaigns providing strategic insights on social advocacy, media relations and engaging stakeholders. She is skilled in reaching diverse audiences, creating consensus among diverse constituencies, outreach programs, garnering community support, and articulating issues to the media. Debra has delivered successful public awareness and media advocacy campaigns on teen pregnancy prevention, breast and cervical cancer, teacher recruitment, energy conservation and toxic contamination. Debra is on the Board of Girls Scouts of the USA where she serves as International Commissioner, is a board member of Little Tokyo Community Development Corporation and the American Social Marketing Association. Debra received the Changing the Face of Philanthropy Award from the National Women's Funding Network and is former Board Chair of the Los Angeles Women's Foundation. Debra was a fellow in the Class of 2000 of the Asian Pacific Women's Leadership Institute and served as the 2006 Chair.

Aurora Rubin is the Global Chief Ethics Officer and Managing Partner Global Risk for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, the global network of one of the "Big Four" professional services firms in the world. She has the distinction of being the first Asian woman admitted into the partnership of any of the "Big Four" in the U.S. Aurora is a first generation American, having been born and raised in Manila, the Philippines. She moved to New York City in 1969. A CPA, Aurora graduated from the University of the Philippines with a BS in Business Administration degree cum laude and was recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus in 2001. Aurora is proudest of her family which includes husband Mel (a CPA cum consultant), daughter Joanna (Northwestern University, JD/MBA Class of 2009), and son Paul (Boston College, BA Political Science and Communications Class of 2008).

Tony Waller is the Director of African American, Native American and Senior Markets at Wal*Mart. Prior to joining Wal*Mart Tony was Assistant Director of Community Alliances in Corporate Communications & External Relations for State Farm Insurance Companies in Bloomington, IL., where he developed strategy for the company's outreach opportunities and social investments in the African-American, Hispanic and Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities. Tony serves as Vice-Chair of NAACP ACT-SO Industry Advisory Council and as 1st Vice-President of the board of the National Black Child Development Institute. In 2000 he became the first recipient of the Spirit of Democracy Emerging Leaders Award, presented by the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation. He is active in his community and received the Leadership Award of the National Association of Black County Officials and the Donald H. McGannon Award, the highest distinction given by the National Urban League. He serves on Bloomington Cultural District Commission and on the Board of Directors of the McLean County Arts Center. Tony belongs to a number of choirs, speaks Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese, and is now pursuing Chinese. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Rosie Abriam manages Engineering Applications and Technical Support at New Focus, Inc, a photonics company in Silicon Valley. Previously, she served as their Systems Integration Manager with projects, which spanned the globe and crossed multiple sectors test and measurement, biomedical, oil and gas. She holds multiple patents for photonics applications. Rosie is also a Gura Fifth Degree of the Kamatuuran School of Kali. In 2004, Rosie co-founded Rosemary Pai, Inc., a private company which markets and retails new and small business ventures. Rosie currently lives in Livermore, California with her husband, Steven Lee. She is a 2002 Fellow of the Asian Pacific American Women's Leadership Institute.
